Carbon Fiber Guage Bezel and Dave B Custom Bezel Rings Installed

here is mine!!!

got them installed finally!!! Mine is the Brushed Aluminium instead of chrome, I find it matches the silver interior nicely!!!

I was a bit of a pain to get the gauge out, since we have that little red alarm thing.... but it's definately worth the work! HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE IT!!! I love them soooo much, just something that the MSP has been missing. Now I feel the interior is much more complete.

THANKS DAVE B for the nice rings.... the quality is amazing, now I just hope that it won't come loose or something, coz' I didn't use any thing to hold it, just snap them on..... let's see if it will work fine.

but THANKS FOR DAVE for the great service, simple PLEASURE to do business with!!!

do the lights reflect off the rings like the chrome ones do at night ?
Slightly, yes.. It looks very nice and classy. Fits the interior perfectly, just ask OrangeMSP.. ;P

Phantom are the rings you got any different than the other ones out there? besides being brushed aluminum? and did you specially request that? Damn if they are different, damn I already ordered mine!!! I like the way that looks!!I can't wait until I get my rings. DaveB and his wife are really great people. Very helpful and prompt, I recommened everyone order the rings, even if you don't want them, at least for the experience of working with good people. ^_^

DAVE and KELLY RULE!

I just did a group buy with them for my Toronto and Vancouver people got 32 set of rings...and i was almost sad when i got them cause i didn't have an excuse to e-mail Dave back and forth anymore

I've never Ever had better customer Service...there were a plesure to deal with and can't wait to do bussness with them again!

yes, mine set is different, they are brushed aluminum other than the chrome one. I specially request it, and Dave actually made them for me!!!!

the guage light do reflect at night, making it a vague red light ring which looks incredible!!! the only thing is the left ring (with the fuel and water temp gauge) doesn't have enough guage red light to reflect as bright as the tach and speed gauge, so it look a bit off. but other than that, absolutely NO COMPLAINT!!!!!

you know what is BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE??? Dave and Kelly actually mailed me the Racing Beat licence plate frame for FREE(and even didn't charge me for postage!) coz' I had ask in the forum to see if I there is anyone wanting to sell their racing beat licence plate frame..... DaveB said he had one sticking around, so he give it to me FOR FREE!!!!! ;-)

such a nice couple to deal with ;) ;)

 You have a RB license plate now? For free? *evil glare*

I want to do my gauges in carbon fiber too! And I want to do that other piece that comes out towards the driver... i dunno what its called its like the hole leading to the gauges. Does anyone know what I'm talking about. Cuz' I want that CF too.

I think you are referring to the rings that DaveB is selling. I dunno if Dave can make them in CF, but you can find out by e-mailing him.

Oh yeah, something I have been meaning to ask the MSP drivers, does the "MAZDASPEED" logo in your gauges light up? If it does, that is really frikkin cool!

Yup.. The outline of the letters.. :P

Er.. I could have sworn it did. Maybe it doesn't and I just think it does.. I've only had the car for a few days now. I'll check tonight.

Add me to the list of testimonials for both the quality of the bezels as well as service from DaveB (even though you guys dont know me yet :)). He was taking a trip to TireRack one weekend and ended up passing close by my house so we met up. Great guy, great bezels. Well worth the $$.

To those with alarms. I think the easiest way to get the plastic cover which holds the LED off is to go under the dash and find your shock sensor. It is zip-tied to a wiring harness. Un-plug it and wiggle it out of the zip-tie. You'll see the LED cord wrapped around that harness. Unplug it and unwrap it. You'll have plenty of slack once you do this. Then, just put it all back in reverse order. Im not a small guy, so removing the kick plate under the column might help a lot, otherwise it is a one hand job.

i didn't want to remove the tie around the shock sensor. it was easier for me just to remove the bottom of the steering column and top and wiggle it down and hanging to the left of the steering wheel while i got the guage cluster out, but either way works :)

Oh man I just got my DaveB rings yesterday and man are they beautiful. They look perfect against the CF bezel I have also. I'll try to get some pics. Hold on :).
