Id really like to go to this, not only because Ive never actually been to a mazda meet and have owned a mazda for IDK..... 5-6 years lol. But Ive also never been to New York either lol and think itd be fun as hell. Just have to see how the funds are cause theres a rally trip in Joliet I wanna go to on the 7th of June.. and then EECMM is later on in the month and am thinking of going to that too. Can you tell I havent had a vacation in a really REALLY! long time? lol.

I would need a much bigger gas tank! Or I could drive the MS6, but what would be the fun in that.
I'm down, I want to see a bit of NY before the meet. Never been, but I've wanted to go for a long time.
Where we are going is about an hour north of "the city". It'd probably be most worthwhile to go down Friday night if you wanna really see around a little bit.
Ya, I did some mapping of the area and saw that we'll be decently close to nyc. I definitely want to see times square during the day and hit some bars friday night

If by decently close you mean closer than here, then I guess you are right. If you are really planning to do this it will take a good bit of planning. Driving in NYC is about 3 million times harder than downtown Chicago, and parking isn't just more difficult, its impossible. I would advise driving to the nearest (to OCC) train station and taking a train to the city. To do this right you will need a full day. Good luck.
I'm not thinking it won't be hard and won't require a lot of planning, but that's why we're talking about this months in advance, to plan it. I don't know about you, but I'm 24 and haven't been out of IL since like 98. I'm dying to get out of this state even if it's for a few days, with a few hours of sightseeing. It's just a thought right now, but it's close to the front of my thought train.
