Car suggestions

In my defense, this is what I found, and here in NC its not rare to see these prices:
CRAP, the links won't load, at least check out the first one. For the rest just search autotrader under zip 28227 w/ 300 miles radius
1998 M3 w/ 65k for $16k
http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdppr...&search_type=both&model=M3&adCertifiedCheck=n
1998 M3 w/ 65k for $17k

Regular 3series:

1999 328i w/ 53k for $17k

1998 323ic w/69k for $17k

Two things I have to admit one, the prices for cars here may be a bit less than where you are and two, if you can find the rare turbo manual C70, heck yeah its a nice car. But I guess you're right about taste, just thought I might try to broaden your horizon.

i do appreciate you taking th etime to check that stuff out for me....youre prolly right i didnt see or notice i should say where youre from

cool...i wish i had everything ready to start looking RIGHT NOW...i just need to get my stock parts in and get my side skrits traded.

YA M3's are cool unless you gotta take them into the shop. They are ******* expensive for everything **** that car once its out of warrenty.

Not just M3, all the BMWs are like that, especially the 5 and 7 series. Body parts are cheap for them but try to do maintenance on them, you're screwed. My dad has a 01 525i and the wiper motor burned out on it, cost him $500 to replace it. I should have thought of that.

definately pass on that then

yeah my dad's got a 95 540 6-spd (4.0 v8)....holy s***....a 4 door sedan can keep up with the evo and STi.... of course...my dad has added intake, exhaust, upgraded some parts here and there....0-60 in around 5 secs.....for a 4000+ lbs. car.

you can buy an audi, bmw, and volvo a good price but wait untill it needs repairs.i work for an independant shop that we specialize in volvo's. parts are not cheap and most places can't fix them so your stuck going to dealer for repairs.

my srt was about 21k. if your looking for a used one for about 17k it might be worth it to get it new. better finance rates on newer cars.plus now dealer ships by me have alot in stock now so you could get one cheaper.

you can get alot of basic bolt on mods cheap for the srt.

How about a used Nissan Maxima... get the manual.. maybe the 5th gen or 6th gen. They are pretty quick and get reasonable mileage. They are not "teh hawtness" but is that what you are looking for now?

So no modding.......I guess you just want a reliable daily driver then? So would you really want to get a used SRT4, WRX, etc.? Those aren't pre-owed by bankers- they're going to have been driven hard and likely have a shorter life than otherwise possible.

How about a used Legacy GT, or a GTI? I see several on the Carmax site for $15-16K.

you people see where i said something available at a dealer? im not importing a friggin mini for christs sake.

im seriously not interested in modding anymore...maybe rims and a drop. im also leaning towards possibly finding a decently priced srt4 around...i have seen a few in the 17k range...
