So that you are not out a bunch of money, you can also demand that they replace your vehicle for a fair replacement. I did this with an older Mustang that I totaled. They want to give me 2500, but locally a similair vehicle with roughly the same mileage was going for 5200. I demanded that they replace the vehicle (I believe by law they have to). They sent me a check for 5200, minus my $500 deductable. Find out your rights in your state before settling on an amount!
