car has indigestion

I took my car into the stealership about 6 months ago because I was not able to fill up my car without the pump stopping like the tank was full. They put on a new neck, and took out the flapper? and or valve?. I went to fill it up my car yesterday and the same problem occurred. It has happened a couple of other times since taking it in. This time though, I investigated the situation at the gas station. The rollover valve? was leaking a small puddle of gas. The car was also making a goorgling/popping sound. It sounded like my car has indigestion :)! Any thoughts on what is wrong?

same gas station or at different ones? I have issues at a few different places due to the high flow rate of gas at that station

Different gas stations. I also tried angling the pump nozzle at different angles, and just slightly holding down the "trigger" to ease the gas in. Sorry, not sure if I have my vocabulary correct on this one.

Try Pepto bismol.

In reality, it's more than likely a plugged gas tank vent tube (debris/spider/dirt/etc).
I'd check the vent lines coming from the tank and clear it with an air compressor.

Apparently it is the valve inside the actual gas tank that is the problem. They want a $1k to fix it-lol! They are calling corporate to see if they can get it under warranty, but with 70k miles I don't see it happening. Now I have to figure out if I am intitled to any of my money back for the work they did that did not solve any problems-any thoughts?

Crap, this is actually happening to me now. The tank is listed for 500 bucks. No friggin way mine is under warranty at 218K miles.....

What did you end up doing?
