too bad he didnt rub off the stickers on the door with the tire.

LOL! One of those companys actually gives out $100 off parts for having that sticker on there. So i can't complain, just remeber they add 5HP each!!!

And yes!!! There definetly needs to be a law against how high you can lift trucks. Granted this guys wasn't way way off the ground, but s***.. if he didn't turn to the right he would have and could have run my ass over!!!

Anywho.. insurance dude is looking at my car tomorrow. Basically was told either way I won't have to pay much of anything. If the ass actually does have insurance I'll owe nothing!!! And if he doesn't (might be why he was arrested...LOL) I'll just have to pay a $250 deductable which I can totally live with. So I'll keep you all posted about what mr. insurance dude says.

That does suck that you got hit, I hope you get what you need to get it fixed. We have trucks here that are 4-5 feet off the ground. But don't blame all of the trucks just because a few have asshats for owners. That would kinda be like the other people that think it should be illegal to mod a car because that person will be racing it in the street. You might have came out worse if he would have hit you with the bumper, more contact!

True, true... I know what you mean. I lived in the Ft. Worth area for 15 years. And I'm not trying to knock trucks. Just agreeing that some restrictions should be made to how high they can be from the ground.. or improve the safety aspect of it so that it a trucks front end is higher than most cars it won't just completly run over the car.

damn that sucks, i didnt even realize you lived in GA till i noticed the southern poly sticker on whats left of the rear glass, and the cobb tag. Hope everything turns out good for ya.

OR
we all could get esuvies... problem solved!
Instead of running each other over, it'll be more like monster turck bumper cars.

It seems like there would be a restriction on how high you can lift your truck. Isn't there a law on lowering your car/altering the suspension.

Sorry to hear about your car.

theres a law on the height a truck can be but its by no means enforced they way it is upon most lowered cars. The reason being is this country is run by f8ing hicks w/ big trucks.....look who the damn prez is lol

Definetly! If it gets totalled... I'm gutting the b****! And transplanting everything. And will definetly getting a 5spd...lol.

Start now. As soon as they sign the paper saying it's totalled, they're gonna want to pay you and get the car ASAP so they can get the paperwork done. They're not gonna give you a week to get the stuff off of it, especially your springs.

And yes Kevin(I think that was kevin, too lazy to go back and check), it was my friend who ran over the cavalier, but it wasn't his fault. The dude in the cav was stoned off his ass and sped int the parking spot without paying attention. He actually ran into the tire of the truck as my friend was backing up, and so he decided to teach him it's not a good idea to run into trucks.

I dont really care about how high they're lifted, because there will always be bad drivers no matter what, but I think there should be a law that bans trucks from driving around with trailer hitches sticking out with no trailers. I've seen many many more cars ****** up/totalled because of hitting a trailer hitch than I have seen run over.

Good point... trailer hitches are a problem.

I feel your pain, pal.

Other than the rear-ended incident last yeat, I recently have some bad experience with one of those stupid 30' wheeled pick-ups.
Everyday I have to pick up my wife from her office after work then take her to the Washington Mutual bank to make deposit for her company. One day I drove her there and dropped her off at a disabled parking space. There was this 30' wheeled pick-ups with chains on the back and revoloving lights on top. The driver was inside with his window rolled down. After my wife got out of my car he start bitching about if she knows that it is a disabled parking spot. Then my wife told him that I was just dropping her off but we are not parking there. Then the guy yell "_uck You!" to my wife.
I couldn't hear that because I was away from them when it happened.
He took off right after yelling that to my wife.
_ucking arrogrant prick!
Those people probably need such huge wheels to compensate their insecurity and lack of confidence about their "other private parts."

Misbehave, we're not talking about big wheels. That's a different subject I'm not gonna start rantin on right now. We're talking about the lifted trucks with big tires on normal size wheels (usually between 15"-17"). 30" tires are about standard size for full size pickups.
