Car boosting to 15 psi while MBC is turned all the way down

So I have new WeaponR hot pipe and cold pipe. And a corksport exhaust. My boost controller is turned all the way down. And my car still wants to boost to 15 psi! When I'm driving normal it goes between 7-9 psi. But say I went to pass somebody in 4th it goes to 10-15! Like I said my boost contoller is all the way down. When I purchased the car the kid had it I guess tuned to 15 psi and my vaccum was like 23. And when I took it to a Mazda dealer they took it to 7 psi and 17 pounds of vaccum. But that was before I got the exhaust and piping. Any ideas on what's is up? When I got the exhaust on it went to 8-9 psi but never 10-15.

seems a bit odd, theres no way to tune it to 15psi with a stock block and no proper supporting mods. but i would check your wastegate make sure it's not bad. and if it is get an atp wastegate with the spring rated to 7psi. keep you from going boom.

Are you sure you don't have it all the way UP?!

Disconnect the boost controller and go straight to the wastegate, that will tell you if it's the boost controller or WGA.

An I the only one confused as to how you adjust the vacume?

You probly should have walked away when it was on 15 psi, especially if it doesn't have a wide band. Probably wont last long

I'll check the boost controller to see if its down all the way and disconnect it. And I got it wrecked from an auction. So I didn't know anything about the car. I'm gunna fix it and I'm not gunna run it at 15 because i know itll just blow. That's why I have the boost turned all the way down so its not hurting anything.

If you're planing on using it as a daily, invest in a spare motor

Why not take the boost controller off to see if that solves your problem

I took the boost controller off. But haven't been able to test it yet cause I'm still at work.

just an aside, is it also possible to have the MBC on backwards... where boost would be pushing on that ball and spring...?
