so this started today. the car drives ok, vacuum holds at about 23, but whenever I try to full boost the car jerks violently and wont hold. but i can half boost 5 psi fine.

wideband reads usual until the jerkiness starts, then goes full lean.

any ideas? i havent started messing with the car yet but i have tomorrow off so i plan on taking things apart until i find the problem

I have no clue what your mods are but it could be a few things. I would first check to make sure all its getting correct spark. Spark plugs, coil packs etc. Sounds like a bad injector or a fuel pump. Are you using anything to datalog?

no, i dont have any data log available, only reading is the wideband.

ill check the spark plugs tomorrow

yes, it does happen at around that rpm.

then again, i havent tried boosting in the last couple of days because of the never ending rain, once it stops a lil bit ill check things out

it could be weather related since it started during a pretty big storm

ive never experience fuel cut in my car b4 so im not really sure if thats what im feeling

well fuel cut feels like when you hit around 4k the power die and then kicks back then die and kicks back usually around ever 500 in the rpm range

thats exactly what happens

thanks man, i guess it was time for this to finally start happening. been pushing the car more and more with no ems or boost control for a while

ive been out of boost, my best friend is coming for the weekend so we'll take a look at it then

no boost sucks...

well, i checked a bunch of stuff, cleaned sensors, and redid some vac lines

problem solved, holding boost and the AFR is a little bit richer, which is good :)

it was probably the maf

yeah, figured as much

my filter is right behind the radiator, and its been raining pretty hard these couple of weeks

same here mine actually sits like right between the rad and the tranny in that big hole....i took in a lot of water though
