The salesman said it had to be on the lot, and because they have like 40+, i can see where they are just writing off the freight. Also the price was off the GST included so in a way it is less because they are kind of adding 7% in GST to the amount they are giving me off (does that make sense?) and they also know me really well because my best friend worked there for a few years.
Actually the EXACT same thing happened to me when i was looking at a Acura EL 1.7. The salesmen offered me $1400 off right away if it was a car on the lot.
It is kind of funny though because when i go car shopping and i say i am open to buying a car they offer like $300 off IF i haggle but the two times (in the same day actually) that i say there is no way i will buy that day and they offered me those 2 deals without me saying a word.
They were like "If i could get you a really good deal could i interest you?"
And i said "no, just looking"
And they said "well here, i'll write the price normally asked and then my price and if you want to do a deal we can put it through right now"
And i say "No, io am really not interested now, maybe in a month though"
And they say "Well take a look at that and make sure you call me, John Smith"
And i am like "sure"
Crazy eh?
When i do want to go buy i have to make sure i act the same way - like i don't care...
