Mazda 3s sedan, vel.red, fully loaded MSP 6 on order
Hi guys. I need some help. I'm a newbie and don't know much about tires/rims, so any help at all would be greatly appreciated. My friend has some 18 inch rims on his accord coupe. He wants to get rid of them, and wants to sell them to me. I don't know if they will fit the 3 or not. The rims are 10 spoke, silver finish. The tires are Bridgestone Potenza 215/45/ZR18. The tires are about a year old. The rims are a little banged up, but not too bad. He wants $400 for rims and tires. What do you think? Will they even fit? Any help would be great. Thanks in advance. I have pics, but I can't upload them at work...sorry.

You need to ask your friend what the lug pattern is on the wheels and try to match it with the one of the 3. It will either be a 4 lug or a 5 lug. You also have to make sure that the spacing between the lugs is the same. I'm not sure what the bolt pattern is off the top of my head, but I'm sure that if it's not already on hear there is someone that would know and be able to help you out.

4 cylinder Accords = 4 lugs
6 cylinder Accords = 5 lugs

The "offset" might be an issue as well. Do some research on the web about the model wheel that you are considering. I'd look up both cars on "tirerack.com" to see if the same wheels pop up for the two cars in question.

Thanks guys. It's a 6 cyl accord, has 5 lugs. The rims have like 10 holes in them...is this to accomodate many different lug patterns? Nobody knows the brand of rim. It's 10 spoke, rivets all the way around, and a red R on the center cap and under that just says racing wheels.

215/45-18 will be about 1/2" larger diameter than stock. Your speedometer will be slightly off, you will lose a small amount of acceleration and your actual top speed will be slightly higher.

Wheels application chart

Hey Newbie!

I have found some info you and other people may find useful.... an application chart with bolt pattern, offset and other important info to fit a wheel to your car. The chart is located on fastwheels.ca website, just look a PDF document "Application chart and price list". I am in no way related to FastWheels, just found the info useful for anyone wanting to swap wheels between different cars.

Mazda3 bolt pattern is 5x114.3 with offset of +50... as per that chart.

I am newbie too btw, this forum is very good reading at... work! ;-)

Stock offset is actually 52.5mm... but who's counting? :)
