Mack,
My Orange MSP HAD severe hesistation "issues". Disclaimer: I don't work for Chevron, but, using their gas eliminated the problem. After about 4 months of annoying, frustrating, and embarrassing hesitations, desperation set in, and I prayed for an end. The car drives beautifully now. Acceleration is super smooth, with a serious burst between 5500 and 6000 rpms. Sometimes there is one hesitation around 4000. Otherwise, all is good. The car is a real pleasure to drive now, with great acceleration, and we all now how beautifully an MSP corners.
That hesitation can drive a person nuts.(bang) All joy from driving the car is lost. You lose faith in Mazda, and in your dealership.
I still have the clunk of course from the rear suspension, and a new noise; a really bad squeaky sound when the front shocks unweight, in the morning. It sounds a bit like an old pick-up truck with leaf springs. Loud too. If I wanted a quiet car, I'd be driving an Altima. So, I'll enjoy it now gleefully.
