Can Cx5 GT with 19 inch tires use 17 inch snow tires?

Hi all
I am planning on buying 2015 cx5 GT that has 19 inch tires. I have a old set of 17 inch snow tires from a Lincoln LS. Can I put those snow tires on the cx5? The tires are P215 / 60 R 16 94S

Well for starters, you need to figure out if you have 16" or 17" tires from the Lincoln. Assuming they're P216/60R16 as stated (and you have appropriate wheels to mount them on that will fit the CX-5) the diameter of the snow tires will be 2.6" smaller than the 19" tires you're taking off. Sooo, In a word...NO.

Thanks for the info. I thought they were 17 inch but I may be misremembering. According to your comment, even if they were 17 inch and not 16 inch, they would not fit he cx5.
