not a chance in hell. only ways would be to strap it to the roof (not recommended), get a truck... or do what I did to transport a hood for a buddy.

haha you give em too much credit... its just a mazda protege. and I didn't do it for cops.. did it cuz thats what I wany.

A stock hood will fit into your trunk ..

.. IF you remove the 'fold down' portion of the rear seats, so that the hood winds up mostly in the trunk, and partially across the rear seats.

The guy that just bought my CF hood installed it while at my house, and fit his stock hood in his MSP's trunk by removing the 'top' portions of the rear seats. It's just a matter of pulling out a few bolts.

No, thats what the voices in your head want. :)

Mine says "Carbon Carbon Carbon, Carbon Fiber, Carbon Carbon Carbon!!"

^^ Before you go, familiarize yourself with what you're going to have to do. Find the bolts for the upper sections of the rear seats and make sure you can pull everything out without any problems. Hell, go through the whole process of taking off your hood and putting it through your trunk/rear seats, just to make sure! Better safe than sorry!

I would not try fitting it in the trunk. Go outside with a measuring tape, measure the stock hood, then try with the tape measure set at the hood's measurement, to fit that into the trunk. The stock hood is ~56 inches wide, even if you try to turn it at an angle it's not going to give you enough room to allow it to fit in there easily. Very good chance of damaging the hood since size matters, and padding would add to the size.

When I had to pick up my XC hood (it was padded), I strapped it down on top of my other hood with soft, flexible bungie cords. It looked raised up, but didn't move at all.

Yeah, what he said (at the same time I did)! :D LOL

If anything, do what Rush said and take off your stock hood and shove it through. You'll get your answer that way.

or just do the old fashion measure with a tape measure! lol
