So whats the deal with the cams? Spoolin can you answer this question please. I was planning on getting the J-Spec cam and the mazdaspeed cam but i also plan on going turbo pretty soon. But if i am going to run into problems later on because of the cams then i wont get them. Any insight will help alot

At this point, all is speculation. The cams don't have a different lift than the stock cams, but the duration is a little different. More to follow as more input is inserted....

I thought they did have different lift and duration! I got ripped off!!! J/k I wouldn't start tripping too much just yet, wait till you've got a blown engine, then start tripping. You know Bill@FP knew of my cams and never montioned anything, I like to think he's one of the smartest people around when it comes to turbo's. Plus these arn't the craizest cams on earth, just a little bit of a change. I mean if there's no need to change the valve springs and all those components it's not putting too much stress on the engine. It very well maybe be pure coincedence.

It's not the lift and duration you should be worried about, it's overlap. I haven't seen the any specs besides the lift and duration so I dunno.

STOCK intake cam!!! just from japan! mazdaspeed slightly modified. Not that aggressive. I own them! you'll be fine

CH mentioned the cam specs were just a longer duration but nothing to rite home about. the damn stock cams were used for emmision purposes. there is 0 overlap.
now the others have close to 0 but nothing to worry about. now i havent installed them so iam going by CH's word. he knows more about them then i do.
i will tell you that if you plan on going N/A then go for it.
my personal preference is the stock cams for my turbo set up. it fits my budget because they are allready in the car. with some minor port work and intake manifold mods the power i am looking for can be had without going to other cams. some people like higher rpm power i dont. i like to make power UP to 5000rpm and thats it.
i stay safe and no boom of the motor. i already am on my second so i learned my lesson the first time.
if i wanted to get a rev happy motor i would get an rx7
