ok, finally took all the tape off. There is also something I didnt notice before, but I may not be taking off. There is also a strip of black tape on the INSIDE between the drivers and passenger doors on both sides. I'd post pics of that too so you guys can see what I'm talking about, but I aint going back downstairs just to take one lousy pic. lol But here they are (and I know, its night pics...sorry):

that looks awsome, great job. I think it was worth the broken nails and blister (2thumbs)

BTW, the hood looks good.

lara, the car looks tatas, can we get some day time pics, i'm considering doing the mintblue and painted hood combo also.

Yeah, I just finished the doors this evening, so I took pics. I'll get some day time pics together when I can. I have ALOT more work before HIN which I'll be taking tons more pics. I've got a FMIC coming in the next few days, decals from tri-point (for that extra hp... lol), and painted fiberglass interior pieces from DG that will be painted the same color as the outside blazing yellow.

The fiberglass eyelids are erebuni, the cf grill is autoexe and the cf hood is VIS. Everything else on the outside is 2003.5 MSP stock. Buddy of mine bought a mintblue kit for his black mica msp, but the body shop told him that they didn't want to be responsible for putting it on. It needed drilling into the bodywork to make it look up to par and a few other things. He said, nevermind and either sold the kit or still has it for sale. I told him that there was no way I was putting THAT on my car. lol Its a good look for some I guess, but I'm not too fond of the look.

That looks REALLY NICE!!! Any daytime pics you could post up would be appreciated.

Either way i'm sold. I'm definatly doing this to mine!

ok, but just so you know.... I have at least one bandaid on, it hurts to type, I've lost about 3 layers of skin on my finger tips, burnt my fingers with the heat gun, and broke a few nails that cut right down to the skin that bled. This has been possibly the most painful mod yet. lol Oh yeah and the longest, most tedious, time consuming and frustrating mod as well. I even thought about paying someone else to do it, but they all turned me down after they saw how long it took and what was left of my fingers. What ever happened to college kids that were desperate to make money damnit??!!! Apparently, there's some thing that even THEY wont do....

lol im gonna do this too. u used a heat gun u said ? is there a way to do it without the heat gun? lets see some pix of ur hands so that well know what were getting into.

Dang.... :( I never said it was easy though. :)

A hair dryer would be a better option than a heat gun. Heat guns get way to hot to be using them for something like this.

Most of mine came off on a hot day, I didnt have to use an extra heat source.

Well you could use an ordinary blow dryer. Good luck getting it away from your mom, sister or girlfriend tho. I dont think most of them would be keen on letting you use their dryer to peel tape from a car outside instead of drying your hair. lol

And no, I wont be posting pics of my nasty ass hands. I already feel ghey & all butchy because of the bandaids and cuts. I think the people I work with are getting used to seeing me all ****** up from working on my car tho.

Somewhere in that parking lot in a blazing yellow MSP laughing at me.....

My car isn't sunlight silver it is titanium grey. Get it right!! ;)

Yeah ya did. lol One of my friends with the sunlight silver did his and I was like WOW, thats hot s*** man! So of course, I try it out... and I'm yelling at my car because it keeps wanting my blood and then it looks trashed because I can only do one door at a damn time.

SO PEOPLE... if you're thinking about doing this....use LOTS AND LOTS of nail hardener, wack your fingers into a board a few times like the Shaolin monks do to harden up their fingers and hands, and have a first aid kit nearby. I would not attempt this if your work involves typing 65 wpm or sewing at your job. Because you will be hating life behind that keyboard or needle and wish you took up soccer or something else involving mostly legs instead.

Ya know.... these guys with those darn TITANIUM GRAY MSP's, I tell ya..... they take off their tape and all of a sudden they think they know EVERYTHING..... lol jk

:p

Actually, I had them do it for an extra 80 bucks when some lady F-ed up my bumper. I just took it to the best shop in town that works on high end cars like audi, mercedes, bmw... It wasn't too much of a problem for them. Remember, you get what you pay for.
