I met this guy today outside Safeway (who was pretty cool, if you're here I was the guy with the longish hair that came up to you after you parked next to my dad's p.o.s Volvo wagon) with an older model Mazda3 sedan in red mica and I heard his exhaust as he rolled up, which sounded very Vibrant (if you know what I mean) and I started to talk to him about it. He was telling me that his exhaust (if you haven't figured out by now, it's a Vibrant exhaust) was actually kind of loud for him when he is just driving around normally. It gets really loud when he guns it, obviously. The exhaust that he has also kind of drones at highway speeds, not really drones, but you can hear it more than liked while just cruising along.

To get to my point,
Those of you with Vibrant Exhaust systems, is any of this true towards your own opinion? I'd really like to know since I'm in the market for a new exhaust.

i have one on my turbo'd p5, so its really a custom 3" exhaust with 2 vibrant resonators and 1 vibrant high-flow cat, and 1 vibrant turbo tpv muffler. I LOVE it! I know there exhausts dont come with 2 resonators, but i absolutely love the sound of it with 2, its fine on the highway no drone...so maybe 2 resonators is the key?

Sounds like a good deal but I'm just pulling for bone stock Vibrant exhaust off their website. But that's still good info!

I'm going to start a better thread so please, DELETE THIS THREAD

If you're looking for info on the vibrant exhaust, PM bbrich57. He installed it on his 3 and absolutely loves it! I remember reading about his install in a thread when I was researching exhausts but can't find it again for the life of me...

haha. Thanks bro, I'll see if I can find him around here. I'm more set onthe Mazdaspeed CBE but it's waaaaaaay expensive and anything that's just as nice with more for my pocket then I'm all ears.

I know you said that your seem to be set on the Mazdaspeed CBE, but just in case I FINALLY found that thread about the Vibrant exhaust install I was talking about:

Just tryin' to help you out!

I have and prefer the ARK DT-s CBE system. I was very impressed with the quality, ease of install, sound, and looks of the system. Highly recommended! Here's a link to a few pics of my install (Reply #15):

Good luck with whatever one you get!

Wow, thanks a bunch. That's probably the most useful info I've gotten on here yet by far! After reading about the Vibrant, I'm now up in arms again. The only reason why I have to get the Mazdaspeed exhaust is that without it, my warranty on the CBE part of my exhaust is void and god knows what my Mazda dealers could tie that into.
