Calling all MS3 sport owners

The MS3 wheels are hot and Pearl white is the only way to go... Well if you could get it :P

Bought a true red sport and haven't looked back, none of the GT options were really appealing to me to pony up the extra cash.

I am almost to the point where I would pay for that paint job. I love my Black Mica but I really miss the Pearl Water White I had on my 06 M3 hatch. I know this was back aways but as far as the stereo with bose is concerned. I have modified with it, and the only real successful way to deal with adding on aftermarket audio is to completely remove the entire Bose System and start from scratch with a system of your own, unfortunatly that means the head unit too. At least that is what my encounter has been with Mazda and Bose.

tremendous pics...

I think it's funny how I used to hate the ms3 wheels and now I actually... wow... I actually love em! crazy s***

Same here. I love them, even though I think they look like they belong on a new VW beettle. I think they are perfectly balanced to the look and style of the car though (sleeper, sleek styling). Most of the aftermarket rims I've seen on people's MS3 don't appeal to me much, I think it need a very specific design for rims to make it work.

now the silver's growin on me... lol wtf? why can't I ever make up my mind???

I was dead-set on getting silver, until I saw Cosmic Blue in person. I didn't even like the color going in, b/c all I had seen were pictures that don't do the color justice. Whatever color you decide on though, you're going to be getting a hell of a lot of car for the money.

amen to that... can't have buyer's remorse with this car. every color has it's fair share of pros to nullify any possible regrets one might have.

so just out of curiousity... what as it about the CB that sold you?

I never had any interst in the silver... until I saw this video.

If you scroll ahead to :54 you'll see (imo) perhaps the best view of a MS3.. ever. It looks like a prehistoric monster... the wheels creating that spinner effect... the silver contrasting with the black... it just looks awesome

I liked the Cosmic blue because it was the only color that the normal 3 didn't have. Unmistakable Mazdaspeed3. Also, as previously mentioned, it's an off color that looks different in different light. No other car has a color that weird either. Like I said before, silvers the only other color I would have gotten out of the ones offered out here. It really enhances the sharp lines of the car.

I'm in the same boat... I ordered a silver, but now the more I see pics, the more I like the red, CB, and black... LOL I'm starting to think the silver is too plain; that it blends in too much... My GF says thats a good thing with the way I drive and the temptation the MS3's power... LOL

I figured, once I take delivery, that I will be happy...

I think the plainness of the silver adds to the sleeperness of the Speed3. I think it'll be less obvious to police on the prowl for tickets and maybe a little less noticeable to thieves...

I'm in the same bot as CTGrey.

1. Call me lazy -> I <3 the rain-sensing wipers. It's the best thing for cars since the invention of the keyless entry. I had doubts, but it really works perfectly.
2. I like the added safety HID offers, and I would never go with an aftermarket kit over an OEM option for HID.
3. Don't really care for the LED lights. It's just one thing less I have to worry about as LEDs last for the eternity + 1.
4. The quality of leather is terrible.
5. Bose sucks big time, but I come from a spoiled background as far as the sound is concerned.

Bottom line, I'm glad I paid extra for those two options I like. It's only money, right? *^_^* and Cosmic Blue FTW! =p

YMMV, but I am quite happy NOT to have leather seats, HID lights, Bose and Navigation, automatic wipers. what I do miss are the seat heaters, the trip computer and auto lights. can't have everything, but the things i didn't want outweighed the things i had to forego. so sport worked for me.

You can unlock the trip computer on the sport models

I just took delivery of my Sport this past Moday... 300 miles later and I love it...didn't need to GT like I thought I would regret not getting. The stock radio is fine!! HIDs and LEDs, don't need them (plus there are aftermarket units much cheaper out there; angel eyes...drool) and finally the leather...nah, cracks and looks ragged... I'm happy with my Sport and the extra $80 a month I save (off the price of the GT) for mods; intake and Xede!!!

Hmmm.. i bought a GT because i didnt want to feel that im missing out on something besides the turbo engine...i bought a base model trim car last time and it bothered me for God knows how many years for not having higher trim. Trading up for the higher trim was not practical so stuck with it. Resale and trade in value was not so good also..So springing out the extra $1500 for the GT is worth it. This is just me though but other people only cares about power output, look, handling and practicality that the MS3 offers.

I bought a slightly preowned sport model and I'm very much happy with it. If I were buying new, I might have bought a GT, but I have no remorse about the sport. Alcantara seats are pretty sick, but they show every little speck of dirt, and the leather trim wears really quickly without very frequent treatment.

As for the HIDs and the Bose stereo, I could care less. Honestly, the Bose in the GT sounds pretty terrible for a "premium stereo." For a couple hundred bucks, I upgraded my stock speakers for Alpines, and they are way better than the Bose.

I'm perfectly capable of turning on the wipers and the lights myself, so the rest of the options don't seem that worthwhile. Honestly, it all comes down to the seats, if you gotta have the GT seats, go for it, if not, don't waste your money.
