hmm, but 1st really has a point. if all were merged and the section is well moderated (which i would have no doubt it would because of the high caliber of our p5 mods) I would see no problem with a single 3rd gen forum.

Actually, i just got an idea.

I think a "3rd gen" forum (with p5 3rd gen, mp3 and msp together), + a generic "Mazdaspeed" section do discuss specifics like the msp turbo/ rims as well as the oncoming of the mazdaspeed miata, rx8, mazda3 etc.

That is one possibility but the MSP ONLY has a turbo, wheels and ECU different the MP3.
Same suspension, brakes, engine, body ect.

I see that as a 50/50 either way

different brakes, LSD, Just the turbo alone makes it so there are a lot of different problems associated with the turbo.

Without more aggressive Mods I would hope to buffer the P5 people from that!!!

Why not merge everything into one big forum (or at the most less than 10)? Nice and simple! I always wondered why admins make so many sections.When I come around this forum or any forum, I just click read new and it does not matter what section it is in. Title of the thread makes me decide if I am going to read it or not, not the section it is in. Having so many sections just makes people miss things and makes it a pain in the ass for people to figure out if they are posting in the right section and makes the moderators have to work moving things around. Something that is said in say a MSP may also be a useful for someone with a P5
Also, This way when one does a search, the search engine will check everything, not just one section that may or may not have relevance

Thats part of the 50/50. Its 50% like the regular sedan, 50% like the MSP. After all the MSP is the progression of the MP3.

I understand though. Also keep in mind I don't want anything with the MSP section until it gets aggressive mods. Any and everything is posted there now and nothing is moved.
The MP3 will aslo get lossed inthe sea of P5 posts obviously not to the same degree though.

What do you mean?
If you do a search that covers every post you will get better results.

Regardless most forums I have ever been to could easily be simplified.

This could be (in no particular order)
MSP/P5/Protege 3rd gen- why seperate these they share parts? Saves moderators the trouble of policing what subject the posts are in.
Protege 1st and 2nd gen

vendors/classified
Motorsports
other Mazdas
