Decided to paint my calipers, the red came out orange, and i love it :)

They didnt turn out perfect cause its really ****** hard to put wet calipers back on without screwing them up. We waited about 1 hour for each to dry, couldnt wait any longer because it was getting late and we didnt have another car to get back home, so....we did what we had to do, but im happy with them.

You are definetly gonna want some heat resistant stuff, dont want any fires haha.... But ya its going to be hard to find a color that will actually come out the way you want it. My cap was very vibrant red, came out like above... So do at your own risk, either way it will make that subtle difference you are looking for though. people will notice it.

yea ofcourse i actually just want them black got dark grey dnt care much to get noticed just that when i paint my wheels there gonna stick out the color they are now lol
but what steps did you do take them off clean them good and what else?!?

As for actually doing them...

We starting out with the front ones, jacked up took off wheels. Left the calipers so we wouldnt have to bleed the break lines. When you disassemble the parts of the calipers that come off without having to bleed the lines, make sure you remember where the pins go, its a pain in the ass down the road (we know). As for prepping them we just sprayed acid all over then to eat away all the break jizz, a pressure washed it right off. Then scuffed them up pretty good, cleaned them again. and did 5-6 coats, making sure the first couple coats are very light.

If your going to do yours, i would suggest making sure you have enough time to let dry for 2-4 hours before trying to reassemble them again. We did it in a very cold area which made them take longer then we thought to dry which in turn, gave us a lot of screw ups.... Hope that helps

nice one!

but it's going to be more "handsome" i think with the original mazda blue color...
