Do you have to depress the caliper piston back or turn it on rear brakes for a 2004 mazda 6? tnx.

C-clamps do not work. You have to turn the piston in.

Use the proper tool. Get a brake caliper tool and turn the piston back in. It's only $10. Preferably, get the metal one - not the plastic tool. If you use pliers, you can potentially tear up the rubber grommet that lines the outside of the piston.
