Caliper covers

Those could make an interesting look. But it seems like they would reduce the cooling of the whole caliper assembly. Yeah the rotors need the most cooling, but why reduce cooling to any part of the brake assembly?

i'm sure that carbon fibre will show signs of stress after all the heat it will goi through

I may have to call this company and find out about clearance and cooling issues.

Ouch 200+ dollars depending on size I guess. One of there retailers had them at $205 and another at $330. Isn't that halfway to paying for a decent brake upgrade that included some pimpish calipers that I wouldn't want to coverup.

The cf cover was nice indeed though. Oh well. These will be on ebay soon enough at half the price anyway. And besides, will these end up as a rice mod like plastic faux rotors to cover drum brakes?

Those carbon fiber ones look sweet, but with that price I don't know if it's worth it. Painting always does the job for appearance if done correcty.

What about a group buy? Would that make a good differance for those looking for them?

I was thinking about making some of aluminum and powdercoating them red (to match all my suspension pieces). Securing them is my only question. If I ever get around to making a set I'll see what it'd cost to have them produced through a machine shop.

I wouldn't ever spend that much moeny on what that is. I mean $50 a each? That's insane.

jesus. you people and carbon fiber. why the hell do you suppose that carbon fiber, which was intended to be a lightweight option to metal or aluminum panels, would be a great idea on some little covers that go over your brake calipers. enough is enough. No more carbon fiber parts. you can have your hoods, grills, fenders, trunks, lips etc, maybe even a piece or two on the interior just to match the theme, but jesus christ you don't need carbon fiber covers for your brakes.

these things look about as rice as they can get and i haven't even seen them in real life.
