if you're not a california resident you're not going to need to register your car in california, which means you won't have to pass the cali emissions test

bad news is since your car is going to be registered on a military base you're going to have to pass the base emissions standards, at least thats how Camp Pendleton works, Travis AFB might be different. i don't think the base emissions are as hard as california state emissions. i really have no clue though, i know that when i got my emissions test just for the base it was $20-$30 cheaper to test just for the base and not for California state... i really have no clue why it would be cheaper unless they don't do as many tests... any MP's out there or mechanics that know? I'm a Texas resident living here in CA BTW.
