Cai

CAI can be worth it, though the actual hp gains over a SRI is not much more. They do look better in my opinion and both intakes get the car better throttle response with little HP gain. Though some have complained the Short Ram loses some low end punch but gives a nice high end punch. Haven't noticed that since I don't really drag race, and when curcuit racing you rarely get low in the revs.

improved throttle response. but that's about it in terms of power gains. another member here gained 5whp. not much for the price of the injen...

pluses include a sweet sound, increased gas mileage (if you don't get too crazy on the gas to get the sweet sound), increased throttle response, and sweet looks. people are always impressed by how sharp the injen looks in the engine bay.

negatives include minimal gains in terms of horsepower and cost of the injen. there is another cai system from k&n that runs about $350 or more, so that's even more ridiculously expensive. oh yeah, there's also that remote risk of hydrolocking your engine. but if you are dumb enough to go through a puddle deep enough to hydrolock, you deserved it. hee hee.

opinion: i don't regret buying it. if i could do it all over again, i would.

There is a adapter for the CAI intakes that helps to solve the hyderlock problem. They tested it on a NSX by dunking the intake in a bucket of water and non of it made it pass the adapter.

I got good news for you... you can do it all over again, just give me your injen, then you can do it again. :D

thanks for your kind offer, but the reason why i couldn't in the first place is because of a lack of funds. if you want to donate $212.67 to my bank account, i'll definitely do it again... heck, i'll even give you my old one for FREE!
