CAI vs. SRI articles

I dont know what IM saying someone on here just sent me a lot of a pics of a hot girl and I got sutupid

Now that I can think straight. I just had a thought Jred I understand the problems you borught up to consider when getting the FMIC but what about a larger IC in the same spot. I believe protosport ( Spelling) is offereing a Larger IC in the smae loctaion as the stock IC. That would take care of the radiator problem and if its in the same spot wouldnt the piping be basicaly the same length. It would not get the best air flow into it but it would be more effiecent and without the concers of a FMIC. Is this right ?

it depends on what your goals are for the car. i believe the protosport one isn't much bigger, just more efficient. you won't get a ton of airflow to the stock location, but it would still be an improvement and may be enough depending on what your goals for the car are. it's all just a big tradeoff to fit closest to one's goals.

aaaaah!!! I feel so enlightened!!! so how can I get one???
local muffler shop, ask them to make a pipe to go from the turbo to the place that the coolant overflow bottle is now and put your filter on there. have them add a way to hook up the pcv, breather and bpv line to it, a way to put the maf on it, and you're done.

So what makes this different from a CAI? The length of the pipe? Wish I had read this before I dropped $200 on my Injen...

The biggest problem with the MSP IC is efficiency, and bigger does not necessiarily mean better. All Im looking to do to is get somewhat better performance and avoid creating more problems. The two main things I would like to replace are the IC and the exhaust. Im not looking to go all out in mods. So the protosport IC sounds like it would suit my needs.
