CAI or Short RAM

i have been talking to some of my friends about getting a cai or a short ram and i am confused on which i should get. i figured that since our cars run insanly rich that this colder air would help and hopfully lean things out a bit. but my friend was saying that short ram is the way to go with a FI engine. i have seen both short ram and cai on our cars and i dont know which is the best setup to go with. any suggestions and comments will be greatly appreciated.

there is 9939849324x the heatsoak in our cars when using a SRI compared to a CAI because of our intercooler fan and overall setup of the car. That is why you see so many CAIs on our cars. shrug its just an intake though. basically your preference.

There has been more arguing over this topic than almost any other on this board. Unfortunately, a CAI is the only option available to you unless you want to put together a custom SRI. Before anyone comes in here telling you what to get, remember that it's your car & you should (as well as everyone else) ideally just research the matter & decide for yourself. The only thing I will say is spend some time on all of the other forums for FI cars & see what kind of intakes they use & I'm sure the answer will become clear.

Like I said, I don't want to debate this, but if you want to get rid of heat soak, get a FMIC. If you want better airflow, get an intake with the straightest path to the turbo.

uhm buy an injen cai...and when you feel like you want a change convert it to a short ram....easy to do and you get the 2 for 1 deal.

yeah i see what ya mean. i just took the lazy way out. sorry mister Po Po. i dont have to think twice about complimenting a car such as a msp (more over an 03 black msp, seeing that i gots one of those!!!!!!!)
