does anyone here know how to bypass the clutch? and if i do and start the car without pressing down the clutch, would i still have to press down the clutch to switch gears? i would like to beable to start the car without pressing it down and then drive it like normal. thanks guys.

you can make it so you can start the car without pressing down on the clutch, but if you ever leave it in gear and try and start your car, the car will fly forward and hit whatever is infront of it.
and unless you get a custom race transmission you will ALWAYS have to press the clutch when you shift
there is a switch on the clutch pedal, mess around with that and you should be able to figure out how to disable it, however I would not recomend it

^I'm with those guys on this one. If you didn't want to have a clutch in the first place then why buy a 5-speed and not an automatic. As previously stated the only transmission that could do this is a race transmission or that of a Ferrari equipped with the paddle shifters.goldwing2000 said:

That's a race transmission or an ATV transmission.

Well, if he learned how to rev match and double clutch very well, it could be done with his normal transmission, haha. I've shifted a couple times without the clutch at all, you just have to get the rpms almost perfectly matched.

when you double clutch you still need the cluctch
and there is no need to do it since these transmissions are syncronized
press clutch, take out of gear, realease clutch, match revs to next gear, press clutch, put into gear.
syncro takes care of matching the speed of the gears, double clutch = useless

And double clutching is not completely useless IMO, especially when you have an incredibly worn 2nd gear synchro that does fuckall for your shifting.

overall i would like to start the car without pressing down the clutch and then drive the car as normal. the reason for this, is i would like to buy a remote starter system for my car. this is why i just want to start the car without the clutch. i dont leave the gear in first even when parked so having the car fly off without a driver is not a problem.

You know what, this is an AWESOME idea, I gotta admit I didnt post at 1st b/c 1-I'm not sure how to help, & 2-I really tyhought this wasnt too interesting at 1st...but I take it all back...I was thinking about it the other day, but didnt think it was possible to bypass this.....great idea for the people up north...but also for us down south in the 100degree summers... Great Idea...and I'm subscribed!

Well hey, if you get hard up, you can just get something to wedge it down, like a 2x4 or something.
like I said before there should be s switch near the clutch pedal, so this means youi will have to look for it since I cant tell you exactly where it is,
look under the dash and press down on your clutch, you should see the switch it hits, and if you dont your not looking hard enough
