speedhawaii:
I attached an image of the CF eyelid (Hopefully I did it correctly). It has some nice contours on it, which is why I bought them. I'm eager to see what they are like when they arrive, hehe.
If you see a Black/Gold STi in the morning Keaau traffic, dats me (there was another back STi, but the kid totalled it recently apparently -- that's what the subaru guy told me. The kid didn't handle the power and basically let the car drive him. I hope he's okay though).
'Sploder:
I was unable to locate a dealer that had a LanEvo to test drive. I believe I'd have to take a flight to Honolulu to test one out (I live on the Big Island, so no LanEvo here). Believe me, I would have loved to check that car out also. The competition could have made the STi price a little lower too.
L8R:
Whoa, more Hawaii people on this forum than I thought! (cool)
thats interesting. there have been a couple of sti crashes already. i heard the evo would be more expensive anyways. you should check out the hawaii and m-spec forums.
protegeV:
Eh, sorry. I guess I watched too much Initial D, where they refer to it as a LanEvo. Maybe it's mostly a Japan thing (ie: http://www.lanevo.net/ ). Dunno.
They were $116 shipped from Japan. Still not in the mail yet... I guess it can take a little longer overseas. If you want, we can meet up sometime if you want to check them out. I'll just put them up in the marketplace otherwise.
Saw your car today parked by Sack-n-Save (if they was your msp).
Damn Loco, you really were lurking. The Hawaii crew never even knew you were around. Good move on the Sti. Seems like for all of their differences the two cars seem to hold beauty in the eyes of many of their owners. In other words there seem to be many MSP owners who either move into the Sti or would like to.
