So it looks like I'm going to be selling my MS3....
Really sad about it. Apparently my parents owe a large amount of money to the IRS(they showed up on our doorstep yesterday) and they don't have the money to pay.
Since they've got 30 days to pay I plan on having fun with it a few more times. Maybe I'll get another one before the end of the year. Who knows...
But it's an amazing car and I really hate to have to part with it.

I'm gonna stick around here though.

This may sound a bit silly, but selling your car now would net a huge loss. Is there anyway you could score an after school/weekend job that would help out? I mean, you'll lose money on the car unless you paid cash for it.

I think the problem here is that the IRS doesnt like to wait for their money...

I don't see how selling your car is going to help them, unless they are paying for it.

I am with you....but losing your ass on a new car doesn't get you anywhere with the IRS either.

Selling the car could probabbly get you even, but that just means you might get your down payment to help out with the IRS. Eitherway, its a sad situation but you're doing a noble thing by helping out your parents any way you can.

It sounds to me that elderly paid cash for the car. In the short term he may lose a little money, but I'm sure it's insignificant compared to helping your parents out of a horrible jam. Well done.

If this is right, then I can see why.

Yup, It's an amazing car.
At this point we just have to take what we can get on it even if it's a loss.
The IRS dosn't like waiting.

Supprisingly income taxes were never actually fully legally approved, a few people have challenged the IRS on legallity and done fairly well in court. (not me I can't be bothered I just pay).

Sucks about the MS3 though.:(

Yeah, just make sure you do the court part BEFORE you do the not paying income taxes part. Mixing the order up can put you in a serious hurt if your day in court doesn't go as planned.

Not so elderly....so, is this your new GT MS3, or is this the same Sport model sin Bose audio system the dealer was in the process of buying back?

Bazooka, you really captured the emotions of the moment with the consecutive posts....

still the sport, never even got a chance to switch it out but I'm pretty much forced into doing this. I didn't buy the car anyway, My parents did...
So I guess the reserve the right to sell it in a crisis.(omg)

Yeah man sorry to hear! Looks like the gov isnt fooling around. They need the money for all those troops they are sending to Iraq. Well hopefully you will get another one when the time comes.

II-Savy: When I looked at your post I thought it read: Death and Texas.
