Buying a 03 MSP

Kind of ironic everyone wants our car to be valuable, but as soon as it comes to buying on it's "Overpriced". Although I do agree this is too overpriced. You may even be able to get below 14....

i agree with everyone saying it's overpriced, but some people are comparing private party and dealer prices. 17k is too much, but from a dealer i'd say 15k is much more reasonable, maybe 14.5k. private party you should look for 13-14k, a dealer is always going to be more.

if it was a trade they kept on the lot, they probably paid 12-13k for it (i was offered 12k for mine ~3 weeks ago as a trade, 13k ~3 months ago from a different dealer), thus needing to mark it up to where it is to still make a profit. 15k still leaves then with an ok profit, but it's pushing it. if they got it at auction though they probably paid 10-11k, so you'll have more room to play

$15k flat is reasonable, try going a little under than first ... but if you're willing to go $15k, then that should be the price you stop at.

Upstate NY, found a couple on autotrader, very comparable mileage (less even), less than 300 miles from here, for $14K advertised.
Show them a printout of that and they'll drop it.

bahahaha MSP#0001 that would be cool.
QuickSRT on these boards had MSP with production #1.
his car was stolen about a year and a half ago.

he then bought an SRT, which followed the change of his username ;)

that hurts me right here.. :: points to chest ::

so they wouldn't come down enough, $15,995 for the car/warranty, with tax and everything it came to over 17K. I told them if they could get it under 16K I would do it. They said "Then we would have to sell you the car for 14K" Said they were into it for more than that (ouch, if its true). Thanks for all the help, I didn't have my heart set on one of these, but I will keep them in mind while I search for something to drive.

when I went looking I wanted to find one for <$14k

However I settled on an 03.5 Ti MSP with 13,333 miles for $14,750 that already had about $3-3.5k in mods including a FMIC, CAI, TT, BOV, Gauges, TBE, coilovers.
where did you find it if you dont mind me asking? it sounds like one that was for sale a few weeks ago here in houston.

That is the one. I got it from west houston subaru. the pre owner traded it for an STI.

Why you know the history on it?

dood fitzgerled toyota in PA is selling a titanium msp my friend traded it in for 17900. They gave him only 11,400 in trade. Don't believe anything the dealer tells you.

I just saw that one for sale on cars.com. What a rip off. I got mine with 2k more miles for $12250, with about $2000 worth in mods done to it and an extended warranty.
