It looks pretty straight forward to me.

"Except as listed below, MOPAR parts sold over the counter or wholesaled are warranted against defects in workmanship or materials for 12 months/unlimited miles for parts (exchange) only. "

A little bit down the page, and there it is. So it's legal, it's excluded from those claims.

I'm starting to wonder though, does any other in house performance shop offer a warranty on their parts? SLP, Nismo, STI, Mazdaspeed. I'd like to know.

I'm of two minds on the subject of what to do after I pay off my car. Buy a fun fast car that I can enjoy - but not have any real investment value. Buy a nice luxury car like a lexus or BMW and not have as much fun, but enjoy owning a finer piece of engineering with a decent investment value. Or just run the protege till it dies and save up for a house. Likely, it will be a BMW or a fun fast car. I'm interested in the Mazdaspeed 6, but only if AWD materializes. Otherwise I'd rather just get an STI. Then there is also the fact that I'll have to wait quite a while longer to save 34K than 22k, which makes me wonder if I can hold out.

In the meantime though I'm paying off my protege.
Get the house first.

This is a dyno of an SRT-4 with the Borla Cat back. It is an 04 wich makes more power than the 03's. http://www.grassrootsmotorsports.com/srt4.html

I Love MY MP3 and plan to turbo it shortly, but when it comes to new cars, why would i want to get a MAZDASLOW when i can get a SRT-4 with 215 HP and a faster car. For about the same price, True the MP3 has great looks and the SRT-4 still looks like a Neon, but it's a faster CAR and the neon body kits look good. :p

Alright, lemme cut this straight! What do you expect from a car?
1- handling? get a Japanese car..
2- acceleration? go American..
3- comfort? go European..

If you like good acceleration and high top speed, generally speaking, the american-made cars will satisfy you. If you are a handling person, generally speeking, the japs will get you into heaven! and you want a comfy ride, most europeans will have you set. There is enough models out there to fit everyone's taste and budget. Also, if all you want from a car is actual performance, lemme suggest you to buy a used, well maintained and 'tested&true' one and tune this thing up! I mean, given the choice btw a Miata and a Z3 i'd GO WITH MIATA and put the $$$$ difference into aftermarkets parts. Then, the miata will most likely blow away the Z3. Chop around, man... and don't let those magazines reviewers and biaised fanatics manipulate your opinions. Get the facts, analyze, test, explore... thats what its all about!!
