Did you not read what I just posted that was directly from Mopar's site? Once you install any Mopar Performance Part on a vehicle, it voids the entire car warranty if used in competition.
Mopar has reworded their warrenty to cover the SRT/4 parts.

Thanks for leaving me completely confused. I'm actually considering purchasing an SRT-4, basically because they are cheap. Still going to take me about 8 months to pay off my protege though, so I have plenty of time to decide.

Not according to their website. I'll wait until I can see a hardcopy before I think otherwise.

Yeah Dodge sucks...Yeah the Dodge Viper ACR sucks (sarcastic). Yeah Twin Turbo Viper suxs...especially when it does the 1/4 mile in 9.5 sec. and ACR Neons sucks too. I would gladly take a RX-7 over a Viper GTS. Im being sarcastic but you need to get a clue.

Cheap? I guess so but a new MSP isnt going to be $21K depending on where you live. I guess its cheap as in you get the beest bang for your buck since the MSP are gone. Test drive it! Thats the best advise i can give to anyone considering buying any of these cars.

215 fwhp is what dealers claim, its in fact more than that as dyno's have revealed.. it actually puts out more than the wrx.. around 215-230 whp..

It looks pretty straight forward to me.

"Except as listed below, MOPAR parts sold over the counter or wholesaled are warranted against defects in workmanship or materials for 12 months/unlimited miles for parts (exchange) only. "

A little bit down the page, and there it is. So it's legal, it's excluded from those claims.

I'm starting to wonder though, does any other in house performance shop offer a warranty on their parts? SLP, Nismo, STI, Mazdaspeed. I'd like to know.

I'm of two minds on the subject of what to do after I pay off my car. Buy a fun fast car that I can enjoy - but not have any real investment value. Buy a nice luxury car like a lexus or BMW and not have as much fun, but enjoy owning a finer piece of engineering with a decent investment value. Or just run the protege till it dies and save up for a house. Likely, it will be a BMW or a fun fast car. I'm interested in the Mazdaspeed 6, but only if AWD materializes. Otherwise I'd rather just get an STI. Then there is also the fact that I'll have to wait quite a while longer to save 34K than 22k, which makes me wonder if I can hold out.

In the meantime though I'm paying off my protege.

Indeed it does. Its on par with what the STI throws down. Ofcoarse AWD makes up for alot of power with its ability to grip from a start.
