there's a new company on ebay right now selling "NEW! 01-04 MAZDA PROTEGE BLACK EURO CLEAR HEADLIGHTS." they are a bunch of liars! buyer beware and STAY AWAY!!!!

i clicked on one of their links:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2481676413

and said to myself, "hey, that's corksport's picture!"

so i decided to email them (start from the bottom and read up, it's a pain, but worth it if you want to save yourself from the hassle of an unscrupulous vendor). the first message you see is mine to them after they bold face lied to me:

that's funny, that car looks like the DGM car that's
featured on the corksport website. in fact, looking at
the reflections on the headlights tells me it IS the
DGM car. that shot was to advertise their new style
eyelids. why do you have to be dishonest? it's not
very nice. i think you need to go in your corner now
and think about what you just did. and if i'm wrong,
then show me more pics of your webmaster's car. as of
now, i'm letting 10,000 other people know about your
shady business.

besides, people can paint the silver housing for $10
and a couple hour's time. it's not that hard.

here's corksport's original picture that you stole and
claimed to be your own.

have they repplied to the last one??
i wanna know what they had to say!

bastards.

i emailed a company selling 'autoexe replica lips' because they were using pics of my car they stole from this website. i told them to change it or i would come here and tell people they were liars.........they changed it and offered me $5 paypal credit plus 30% off anything i buy from them....i didnt take it, but they changed it

companies like that need to be exposed. they simply changed your pic out to another person's pic. if they were legit, they'd have original pics showing their product.

no, they haven't replied yet. should i link them to this site?

my reply to him/her is the top message.

so let me get this straight... you had pictures of your webmaster's car all along, which is a white protege sedan. and you knew that the ebay auction picture was of a car with CF EYELIDS off a BLUE protege5. yet you claim this to be a slight overlook and miscommunication? if you fess up and just say, "yeah, we used a picture that wasn't ours and tried to pass it off as ours," then at least that would be believable.

and even more email! holy hell, at least they are responding, i guess...

it's these very people who are not mechanically
inclined or who are new to the protege community that
i am concerned about. throwing down $270 for
headlights that might not even be in existence (where
are the pics of the headlights on your webmaster's
car?) seems very unreasonable to me. prove me wrong is
all i'm saying. so far, you've proven that your
company pushes products you do not make and claim them
as your own. you use another company's vehicle and
call it your own. that, to me, is a shady business.

that auction is over, unfortunately. i wonder if there are more...
if we sat here all day going through and busting all the bogus ebay auctions we'd be very busy people. you ought to see some of the ebay schemes my dad busts for work, its insane the amount of thought people will put into screwing someone over.
