Just out of curiousity, normally there are 800 million posts about how bad we are for being in iraq, WMD, etc etc...yet when a roadside bomb containing sarin NERVE AGENT explodes near a US convoy in Iraq, all you liberals (ok maybe some liberals dont oppose the war, but you get the picture) hide in your goddamned holes...

maybe youre all just thinking of how its fake and a conspiracy right?

granted this could either be from the new or old regime in iraq, but they DO have the s***.

Or not from Iraq at all (as in brought in recently which is very possible).

and btw,

<--not liberal

i knew they were there.. it was just a matter of time.

i can pretty much assure you those people arent exactly in the business of smuggling s*** all the way to BIA. they used it as an IED which means they just grabbed the nearest s*** and blew it up as a convoy passed.

im getting more and more 'stressed' over all the crap there. i suppored the war, but now im getting wishy washy. i just say let them realize what happens when we arent there- total chaos. but we cant do that i guess.

argh.

btw, i lean conservative.

i think if we just pulled out (which believe me, would really reduce stress on our troops) all hell would break loose. politically AND militarily i just dont think we can do that.

Yeah Matthew we all know that whole serving your country thing was bulls***. You were smuggling over domestically produced Sarin gas to use on your fellow soldiers. The P5 is an elaborate nerve agent mule mobile.

Yup I agree with you. Something like this happens and it's just a footnote, but God forbid we harm a goat in Karbala without Peter Jennings crying about it on National TV.

BTW
<---- Not Conservative

I am not a liberal or a conservative. I am one of the people in this country smart enough to know that a two party system is s***.

I have no money but I work for what I do have and don't like giving it back once I get it. So what am I?

I love the outdoors and all animals and hate pollution and deforestation more than almost anything, yet I will eat just about any tasty animal and would punch a hippie in the face given the opportunity.

I could care less about abortion because I am pretty damn sure I am never going to have one.

I am not a minority but white people breeeding in the suburbs scare me too.

I think guns are ******* retarded and that looking at the UK and Japans crime rates proves that.

I am not racist but I do know enough about the law of averages to know it can be applied to people and be correct a large amount of the time.

I am all for gay rights but I do know that people, gay or straight, who live their lives based on sex are douchebags not worthy of my time or energy.

I cannot support a party that panders to every minority and fringe group even though all those groups interests are in complete opposition.
But on the same hand I am smart enough to know that the other party is going to keep shooting itself in the foot(pun intended) and will never truely represent me

Read Plato's Republic and Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics. My polotics lie somewhere in there. [/diatribe]

Heh. I think I'm the most old school here. I liked Teddy Roosevelt and his Big Stick Diplomacy when it came to foreign affairs. I don't know about trying to reform and rebuild countries like Iraq though. I kinda like that old Sam Kennison(sp?) sketch. He's talking about Iraq(the first time). They complain, "Our roads are destroyed, there's chaos, our economy is s***." We say, "Yeah, that's what the f*ck we wanted to do to you." I guess it's not realistic, but I still like it.

The one and only only only reason the US has not been successful in war as of late is that poiticians and bleeding hearts are unwilling to deal collateral damage. WAR IS COLLATERAL DAMAGE. You don't defeat someone by killing 3% of their population. You do it by crushing their will to fight. You do it by dissolving infrastructure, both physical and mental. You destroy economys and make life suck worse than normal(In the middle easts case that would be harder) You destroy planes trains and ******* automobiles. THATS WHAT WAR IS..... ****. Do it or don't, don't pussyfoot around like a jackass.

at - im the same way i was referring more to liberal/conservative stance on this war.

Oh, I'm still here. But I'm not jumping to conclusions based on one shell from the Iran-Iraq war era found on the side of a road, nor is the administration at this point. If they find a stockpile of *usable* weapons somewhere, I'll be happy to say "looks like there were some WMDs".

As for the current situation. We're kind of in a catch 22. We're ****** if we leave, and ****** if we stay :).

EDIT: And I wouldn't consider myself a pure liberal. I've voted both ways. I typically vote for the lesser of an idiot, and for somebody that believes in the same things I believe in.

I don't think anyone's hiding over it. Someone there has sarin. Of course. I don't think there is a single person that thinks there isn't SOME biological and chemical weapons in Iraq. We KNOW they had it - they got it from us. The fact that one shell had some sarin in it just isn't newsworthy.

Side note: The United States has 5,000 TONS of sarin. Russia has about 12,000 TONS of it. Syria, Israel, North Korea, Libya, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran and a bunch of other countries also have it.

The s*** that is happening over there doesn't surprise me a bit. The bible already told you that folks are gonna be always fighting over that land over there. Things are gonna get a whole lot worse before they get better...

It is very unfortunate, yet completely true.

What does this have to do with liberals? Did liberals commission the sarin attack? Do liberals claim that there aren't people fighting the US? Does a sarin attack somehow prove that we should be over there?

You like the war. So when a sarin gas attack happens, you point to it and say "See? The war was a good idea. There are terrorists (or whatever)." Someone who didn't like the war could say "See? I told you they didn't want us there, and why are we putting US troops where people will attack them with sarin?"

I think it's deeply unfortunate, but provides no guidance about these political issues, and doesn't really favor any political group. US troops being attacked doesn't settle any issues in itself.

I like how all the liberals are hiding in their holes (like cowards). While you courageously talk s*** on a protege message board.

The problem is that this is becoming too political of a war. If the democrats and media keep harping on the president this will turn into another vietnam, and thats just what the terrorists want to happen. Its like killing our own with our words. People are forgetting what happened to the US September 11th and are forgetting how vulnerable we are. I love how the WTC commission blamed it all on the firefighters and policemen, Great!! Instead of "good job, you saved thousands of lives!" "Instead of the predicted 35-40k lives lost (which the terrorists were expecting to kill) we only lost ~3500, good job saving the many people you did" But nooooo, they get a "you didnt do your job good enough you bastards!" Damn the people who say they could do better....
