Tonight was a great night even though i got busted street racing (which i don`t do often). it was wicked i pulled up beside my buddies focus... he revs his engine.... i laugh and say ok.... light turns green... No chance for the poor Focus.... hahaha i think untill we get stoped behind traffic at a red light and an undercover car comes cruzin up real fast with it lights on. the cop seemed pissed at first but then came back with a $100 speeding ticket for 20km over the speed limit told me to " thank my lucky stars that its not a racing ticket " , then let me go.....



Am I lucky or what?

I got caught street racing a year or so ago...The cop was being a real prick(he had reason to be though), and threatened to tow both our cars...He asked who was winning, and the other guy wouldn't admit that he was...I was like, "he must have had me by 3 cars lengths"...the cop let us go after I admitted to losing. He said to be glad thats the only thing I lost, and he let us go...For the most part, I think the cops would rather scare the s*** out of you for racing rather than tow your car. In my experiences at least.

For the most part, I think the cops would rather scare the s*** out of you for racing rather than tow your car. In my experiences at least.

Speak for yourself! In a younger (and Stupider) age, i got towed one night BEFORE I could race. It seems we spent too much time prepping instead of racing (the other guy was a SLUG!!!) and a cop showed up. I got towed because my Nova was on racing slicks, and i didn't have 2 spares with me to swap onto the car No ticket, though: just the impound fees to get the car back.

Ahhh.... the memories. Later that summer, I discovered AUTOX, and I haven't looked back!!! Lots cheaper, and less risk, too!

yep, i went to the drag strip here, and i HATED it. maybe if i had a faster car but.... i'll stick to autoxing as well.

uhhh you can loose your license for one and have to appear in court
not to mention how much your insurance will go up

In my home state (WI) speeding is generally 4 points and ~$150.

Racing was 6 points and $276. Ten years ago. It's probably worse now...

12 points in 1 year costs you your license.

last time i got pulled over was in my Eclipse doing 110 ( i was doing at least 130 or so before i hit the brakes) in a 75. the cop is still the best one ive ever had , he came up to the car and said the usual " you know how fast you were going" Knowing that i was probably going to jail or getting a really huge ticket i gave a smart ass remark" well officer the spedo stops at 170,so im not sure" the officer starts to laugh so hard that hes crying and tell me while lauging his ass off" that is the funniest s*** i have ever heard in my life as a officer, now get the **** out of here and keep it at the speed limit" i was lucky and will probably never do that again hehe
