Busted headlamp

On my way to work this morning, something flew across the highway and hit my car from the other side. I didn’t think much of it at the time…

A few hours later I discovered my driver-side headlamp lens is cracked.

Definitely not happy about this.

Crazy that it busted the lens in such a clean way, without damaging the projector or the shroud behind it.. nothing else was damaged? At least the bumper/hood/chrome wasn't damaged on top of that.

Oof. I’d consider biting the bullet and making an insurance claim to get it fixed. I had to replace the grille on my CX-5 due to a rock strike and was able to do it for less than $250 (aftermarket parts, tools, my own labor). That headlamp is a different animal.
