Bush invokes 9/11 to argue for Iraq war

Apparently you are not reading...

I am not saying Iraq was involved in 9/11, which is supported by the 9/11 Commision. The 9/11 Commision never said there was NO link between Saddam and al Qaeda, btu that they could not substaniate it. That is not prof there is no link.
ok...You just go ahead and think what you will. You aren't worth the effort...no links to facts gets no attention from me. Have a great day!:)

Apparently you don't undertsand what I'm saying...

I know the repubs are the majority. Who wants to change that? what motivation would they have to start bashing Bush and the repubs?

Do you understand what I am saying now?
But you called it a "Democratic Senate" That was WRONG. Now you are changing the story...

It is a REPUBLICAN MAJORITY Congress. Do you know what that means? That means there are more Republican Senators than Democrat Senators. Now what was it you were saying about bashing Bush and the Repubs? Why would a REPUBLICAN Congress do that?

Other Military Sites[/FONT]
The great majority of the imagery released of terrorist and other military sites in Iraq was released as part of Defense Department or Central Command briefings after the beginning of hostilities. The exceptions (images 17-18) concern terrorist facilities. Image 17 shows the headquarters of the Mujahedin-e-Khalq (MEK), also known as the National Liberation Army of Iran and classified as a terrorist group by the State Department, which describes it as "following a philosophy that mixes Marxism and Islam," and having "developed into the largest and most active armed Iranian dissident group." The group maintains both tanks and artillery on the border with Iran. As part of the 2003 Gulf War military operation, the U.S. bombed the bases of the MEK. (Note 11)
Image 18 was shown to the U.N. Security Council during Colin Powell's February 5, 2003 presentation. Powell described it as showing a terrorist poison and explosive factory in Iraq, operated by an Islamic terrorist group, Ansar al-Islam, with ties to Al-Qaeda. Image 19 and Image 20 show the status of the camp before and after air strikes in late March. At a Pentagon briefing General Richard Myers described image 20 as an "image of the former terrorist camp - training camp at Khurmal" and went on to say that "I stress 'former' since it is no longer an active terrorist camp. We struck this camp in northeastern Iraq early last week with several dozen Tomahawk missiles and precision air strikes ..." (Note 12)

What I said was:
I don't buy a democratic senate finding when they are trying to do what-ever they can to put themselves in office in the coming election.

As in, I mean the senate commitee that said that is made up of democrats who will do whatever it takes to bash Bush at this time....

Sorry if it was not clearly stated the first time.

Uh..they also said there was WMD too. And I see nowhere in that article a denouncement or appeasal to contact with Saddam.

WOW! He didn't move anything in the time frame between the UN talks and the actually start of the war.

I can go track down that story too....

It boils down to media and how much of it you are allowed to know and how much of it is skewed from reality. IMHO if you have no personal knowledge of any situation then it hearsay and bulls***. Let me say that again in a different way... "Your car just got totalled in the parking lot.." Do you believe me?... probably not because you can look out the window and see it is a lie. Now another example... let's say your car is transported to the next state over to get a race motor installed... along the way I call you and tell you "The transport trunk carrying your car just hit a patch of black ice and fell off a small cliff totalling both the transport truck and your car, the driver is OK." Little easier to believe eh?... but is it true, and if so, how much of it? I believe very very little of what I see on media. Bombings etc of course concern me when I see video footage... that is believeable. But when it comes down to the Senate or any empowered governing body telling me that their findings don't link Saddam Insane to terrorist groups and the like... uhhh... naaaa... hard to believe... what is that based on?... Just like there was a lot more intelligence before the 9/11 attacks that we knew about and did not act upon because "Nobody would mess with USA like that right?" Wrong... just like Bush said, we live in a world of uncertainty... watch the local news tonight and I bet you'll see some random shooting or something that happend the night before... Our nation as a whole never had to worry much about uncertainty until 9/11 happened. I think Bush is correct that we need to intervene and do what we can to make sure this world does not perish for all of us, but that is my opinion. If we pull out now they will follow us... more terrorist organizations will spawn and train... until the next 9/11. We as a nation can not let that happen... and don't feed me that bulls*** about "We are only there for the oil..." I swear that is one of the most ignorant comments I have heard from protestors in years. In fact, if that was the case, then why is gas $3/gallon? We could take their oil if we wanted to and not ask any questions about it but we are not that sort of nation. Look at the raw facts of the issues... we are trying to protect our nation... the world just happens to be benefitting from it and we get a bad rap for doing so... even by our own people. If you were in the twin towers five years ago on 9/11 I bet some of you would be singing a different tune right after you got done spitting blood from all of the dust you ingested why running down the street fleeing for your life from a falling building you were just in.

Now (stfu) and support this country or get the **** out... it's simple... the world is a big place. Go live somewhere else if you don't like it here. These borders are like swinging doors... they swing both ways... IN and OUT...

all bad intell. Or at least thats what Bush and company told us. You will forgive me if I find your link of no credibility. It still has pics of supposed WMD sites...(rofl)

and you are getting way off track here,:bs:

Supporting my points.

To bring this full circle, 9/11 is an appropriate time to remind forgetful citizens as to why were in Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries.

As far as the intel being wrong, that is a matter of opinion.

Your own posting:

WASHINGTON - Saddam Hussein rejected overtures from al-Qaida and believed Islamic extremists were a threat to his regime, a reverse portrait of an Iraq allied with Osama bin Laden painted by the Bush White House, a Senate panel has found.

The administration's version was based in part on intelligence that White House officials knew was flawed, according to Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee, citing newly declassified documents released by the panel.

The report, released Friday, discloses for the first time an October 2005 CIA assessment that prior to the war Saddam's government "did not have a relationship, harbor or turn a blind eye toward" al-Qaida operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi or his associates.

Key words, flawed according to democrats....

Maybe I'm reading that wrong though....

Yes, you are.

Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee, based on newly declassified documents, contend that the Bush administration knew the intelligence was flawed, yet acted on it anyways.

Which so far have no quantifiable data to back them up.

I disagree..we have 364 days a year to do that...why pick a day of mourning..I will tell you why..POLITICS.

Well seeing there is NO WMD
No connection to Al Queda ..I would say your case is a tad weak.
