Building my engine

I am brand new to the forum as well as a backyard mechanic. I do all my own work and it works for me $$$ wise and plus i can trust myself...but i was just wondering from some of the experienced builders what can i do to make my car faster. Not as in blazing paint peeling fast, just enough power. Please and thankyou! And in this case $$$ isnt an option, $$$ is only a problem when it comes to other people doing the labor haha!

it all depends what you want to do. first off id forge the engine before anything. no point in adding all these bolt ons getting a tune and then having the motor blow cause it was to much.

I am in Waipahu area...and guarentee! I know I gotta rebuild my engine cuz my head gasket is shot lol...sucks, so i am gonna start building it while ii am taking the heads apart and stuff...you know new shafts, internals. you know...but yupp! imma hit you up!

Yeah i got what you mean about the bolt ons, i was thinking about doing this seriously and not being like the little EKs and EGs driving around HI with a fat turbo and a broken car three weeks later. ;p
