building a monster MSP

2003 MSP Black Mica
Im planning on building a monster MSP when i graduate college for mechanical engineering. Its going to have forged internals much like lots of others on the board. Im going to custom build a high flow intake manifold, top mount tubular exhaust mani and custom 3" D.P. Im going to use a huge turbo like the gt37 or 42, standalone ems, probably the AEM and hopefully boost at 30+ psi with a pertinent fuel system. Custom cams, gears and head porting. Shooting for 600+ horse power and 10 second ETs.

My question is can the block handle it. The forged internals should with proper tunning but what is the next weakest link, will the head blow off?
Ive read that the tranny will fail at 350+ hp is there a fix for this.
Just looking for some opinions.

wow 600hp. Thats quite a steep goal to aim for. Hope your pockets are deep. I would talk to dana at speed circuit about building a badass block :)

definatly gonna need to do some MAJOR tranny work...theres trannys that have been breaking down under 300whp...

Probably Ill be the first to reach and probably go over those numbers. Im already 90 % done to get that amount of power. If you need any advice about it, ill be more than glad to help you, with my knowledge, and also with the parts. Im a sales Rep from the company its doing my monster MSP. Its called TBK Performance.. Hit me up ...

yeah probably will need cryo treating and def gtx gear set. maybe more work.

or just get an evo or an old skyline GT-R (pretty cheap around here) and start to build from there..

the platform is not made for 500 - 600 hp

with all tha money you would invest in it, put it in a evo , sti skyline and such and atleast you'll be able to put that 600 hp to the ground...

don't forget, 600 hp and close to the same amount of torque on the front wheels.. the only thing it will do with ease is burnouts..

im not biased by awd cars in any way.. but you got to admit that trying to put that power down is gonna be a b****.. not to mention all the parts breaking up..

Man, ya'll are doin' it way big...if I had the time and deeper pockets I would try to get to about 300whp. I'd be happy with 200whp...keep the info coming!!!!

Well, Buddie, I dont agree with you at all. with the proper parts, proper tuning and the proper people and shop to do it, you can basically do anything you want. ask CWILL, he have done 400whp all day long, and even breaking the worlds record by doing the fastest P5 1/4 mile times. as i said im 10% left to reach the 550whp mark. ive done everything to put that power down to the ground with every proper parts and tuning. Theres no fun if you buy a ******* ferrari that already comes fast. the fun part is to make your own rocket to kick Ferraris ass... You people have to start to believe in these ******* MSPs, they kick real ass with the proper parts, knowledge and tuning, theres so many doing it at these moments... mad props to CWILL, and PIRANA... **** EVOs, **** STIs, **** SRTs. I believe of what we are doing and trust my MSP all the way, theres no need to buy anything else, with the money EVOs, Stis Skylines etc, you can buy a MSP cheap in good conditions. and make it a true Street Killer.........

ya, i don't think the msp is quite the platform for 600+ hp.

although, it is personal preference. i think an evo/sti/ms6 would be more favorable.

im not saying it's impossible.

but i'd like to know how you can put that much juice to the ground.. and how you doing on the quarter mile? and how much it has cost you in R&D to achieve it..

dont get me wrong here, your ride or any ride at 300 whp must be a blast to drive;)

jejeje.. Thats what i said when i had those 300whp in my hands... these s*** is addictive, since when you reach a certain power level, and start competing to other type of cars with more power, theres the need for speed my friend, there is no enough in these game.. Been there, done that !!!!

my personal Oppionion, thats why people with Evos and Stis, and SRTs they feel they are the ******* King of the asphalt. just tell me one reason, why an MSP cant be better than an EVO ? Same 2.0 Liter Engines. one comes more powerfull than the other, but when you are talking about Racing parts my friend the sky is the limit. Ive seen Honda Civics with 700+ hp front wheel drive, killing ZO6s, Vetts, and lots of heavy modded vehicles. just one thing. Evos, Stis, MS6 are way heavier than the MSP, but go head buddie, keep thinking these cars aint worth the money to do it right.. Ill have fun with my s*** til i die..

Hey, it's all about fast titaniums.

I agree Mazdaspeed2oo35, whats the fun in having a car people expect to have 500+hp. I say if u have the knowledge, money and time, go for it. I dont have either so I am all for anyone who tries!
I just hope u guys post some video links so I can see.
