Bug inside tail light

:
2008 CX7 GT
Has anyone every had any bugs or dirt get inside the tail light? If so what would be the best way to go about cleaning it? In my post-winter cleaning I noticed that one tail light has a dead bug and the other has what looks like dirt or mud stuck to the lens. I assume they got in through the little vent hole on the lens...Any help is appreciated.

i'd assume you'd have to take the light off the car and hose it out or something...

Go to your dealer

Tell him there is a bug, tell him there is a TSB about how to get this bug out (you can find one on Rosenthal's Mazda website - follow link from this forum to TSB's). This is a warranty case. I had a similar situation, and they could not get the bug out, so I had the taillight replaced at no charge.

Awesome, because i have a freakin large dead spider on the rear passenger side, will they still replace even though mines an 07?

Bug in Tail Light

Had a spider in my drivers side rear tail light, printed a copy of the TSB and had Mazda change the lens assembly in March. My 3yr warranty expired in April of this year, so if you bought your car mid year 07 its still covered. Either way it doesnt hurt to ask, worse case is they deny it.

I believe there are two or three screws in the back of the light assembly - usually accessible from inside the car. Once you loosen the screws, the lens assembly comes out and you can clean it then. Make sure you pay attention to the clips and not break them. Then, debug and hope they stay out!
