Brother race????

What do you think would happen...i have a stock MSP and i want to race my brother. He has a 95 Cobra which is the last year of the 5.0 w/ headers and flowmasters w/ no tailpipes. (Mufflers are sitting right under you in the car. Its the greatest sounding car ive ever heard in my entire life). I know that he would beat me but how close would it be?? Feel Free To Post

I guess the closest thing would be my brother in law, but his 1.8T will just wup me anyway, no fun.

he'd own you pretty good. He'd probably run a high 13 or a low 14. Crank up the boost, f0cker.

13, doubt it. I'd think mid-high 14's. That's a heavy car and the 5.0's didn't have that much HP,they are rated 240HP, unless it's a Cobra R with the 351 Windsor. Depending on the start(rolling/standing) it might be pretty close. You'd benefit from the rolling start.

that particular year 5.0 isn't all that tuff. you best chance would be from a standing start because most mustang guys will nail it and spin like crazy .
either way i think he will still have enough to whip ya.
but try 'em.

I think you'd have a close match. Sure it's a Cobra, but it's also 8 years old.
