These are also called helicoils ,they are used when you need to keep the same threas and size of bolt or stud

These are actually different from helicoils, as they are not helicoils, but a solid insert.

Luckily, the bolt that snapped was the bottom, center one, and I was just able to get my reversable air drill in there, and then I replaced it with an A2 Stainless Steel Stud, and lock nut I had.
