Captain KRM P5 said:i spoke with Tony@AWR a few minutes ago. he will replace the broken mounts. as for replacing all older mounts even if they have not broken i'll have to ask him on that.
he buys his bushings from Energy Suspension. he has mailed the broken mount he has gotten back from us to them so they too can determine what can be done on top of everything else to strengthen the mount. so the revisions are a work in progress. AWR is considering no longer offering 70 durometer mounts for the mazdaspeed3 as he is beginning to feel that they are not strong enough to support this particular powertrain. the downside to this is that going with a stronger bushing will induce more vibration inside the cabin.
outside of AWR's efforts, we are working on something else entirely in terms of engine mounting.
Hey Cap,
what is the procedure in getting the new mount ? I got mine from protege garage.
Thanks
