i'm so mad...

I came to work this morning..when I had the car parked, I broke my DaveB antenna...

BUT, the the worst is, when I decided to twist and take the antenna out, the antenna broke at the base (where is the screw).

And now, I cant even screw a new antenna...Because there's a part of the screw wich is stock in the base..

How hard is it to change the antenna base? Do I have to take all the interior roof linear?

Find someone with a good set of tools who has the reverse threaded drill bits. They are designed to drill in the opposite direction so they extract the screw/bolt as they go in. Just a suggestion, I've done it on other things.

To answer your question you do have to remove the headliner to take out the antenna base.

thanks guys for the answer...

I guess the dealer is going to charge me an arm and a leg to replace ...

Going to try the reverse thing.. man..it's bad!!!

There's a little tool/drill bit called an EZ Out. It will bite into the broken bolt and unscrew it(if you're careful).

(sold)

Also, if you want another one, I have a DaveB antenna, or even a stock one, that I'll sell for 10 bucks. :)
hehehe..you dont put an antenna? (scratch)

anyway, I'll pm about your antenna as soon as I (try to) get the screw out of there.. Thanks.

I just saw the base of the antenna was push into the roof..
