Brass Bush

And so I decided to change the oil in the shift turret

When I took the shifter out and took the brass bush out this is what it looks like now

its from my NB8A 5 Speed which has an IL Motorsport Quick Shift Kit fitted to it

huh... I thought that bushing was some sort of plastic / nylon.

I've never seen one of those bushings before; but, based on what I've seen before in bushings, that one doesn't look good. The irregular edge tells me there has been some excessive wear in that area. One might want to consider replacing it, at some point in the near future. Of course, I could be wrong.

i dont know its meant to be better than the plastic one which is why i replaced mine

but some say my quick shifter might not be installed properly resulting to that

It does look pretty deformed.

well the top edges are thin and sharp now
