brand new cx7 with bad rotors and rusty exhaust

I just purchased a 08 cx-7. Right when I got it home, I noticed the brakes felt funny, a shutter in the wheel and on the brake pedal when I hit the brakes. The dealer told me I had warped rotors as the car has sat on a lot since september 07 when it was manufactored. Also, I noticed my entire exhaust system was black and rusted where my friends new cx-7 were bright chrome. The dealer said normal wear and tear. This seems crazy to me that this all would be normal on a new car. Any advice???? Help!!!!!

Tell them you want it replaced you didnt buy a new car to get warped rotors or a rusted exhaust thats retarded

My CX7 is two years old now and my exhaust is still nice and clean!

how many miles were on it? perhaps a dealer had been driving it around? i believe they can still sell it as new up to a "certain amount" of miles on it. (may vary from state to state).

That sucks man but why didn't you check the entire vehicle out top to bottom, inside/out before you bought it?! I check everything and I mean everything on a new car before I buy it. In my opinion new means new and I won't take a new car with even a minor scratch. I tell the dealer up front that I am very anal about my cars and I'll check out every minor detail with them standing right there...including getting down to look at exhaust and underbody of the car.

If I were you I'd go back to the dealer and ask for a different car if it's only been a few days since you clearly got one that is flawed. If they won't budge make them give you a loaner while they fix your car to new condition. You've got to be firm with dealerships but if they want your continued business they will help you out. New does mean new but at the same time from a dealers point of view is you should of checked too, to say give me a new vehicle thats not gonna happen when a new vehicle is registered its no longer considered new so therefore they wont do that but they might get it fixed for you and possibly a gift cert for an oil change or something like that, but if you go in with the new car attitude that will not happen and you will just piss them off and make them not take care of you at all.
