Brand new Brembo's

Hi. I just installed 4 Brembo brakes along with Hawk HPS street pads, and WHYYYY is there rust on half the disc, as if the pad is not sweeping accros the entire disc, just half?? will the pad eventually wear down and touch the pad fully to clean it off?? any ideas?

brembo brakes...as in just the calipers ? or just the rotors ? if it's the calipers, then your pads aren't covering the entire rotor. if it's the rotor, then the pads aren't big enough for the new rotor

yeah i meant brembo rotors... how could the pads be too small for the rotor? i got oem sizes

do you mean only half of the disc as in a half-moon shape or half as in only half way down the side of the rotor? if its the latter, thats normal

Make sure the pads are seated properly in the caliper & there will be a bed in period for the pads & rotors to acclimate to each other but mostly that was just a noise thing with mine. No partial coverage issues tho. Just go back over everything & make sure all is good.......

well i dont have my camera with me, but I can tell you its not the half moon which the member before stated. its the outer diameter of the rotor is getting swept clean, and the inner one is staying dirty, therefore the pad is not touching the inside....
