CX-9
I picked up my new 2009 CX-9 Grand Touring a week ago... I added the clear bra and enjoying it so far. Looking forward to the Mazda247 community!

The price varies depends on where you go. I paid $850. I have it done on my other car and now wouldn't leave it without the bra!

I had it on my BMW and also got it on my Accord...it's not bad, but I'm not sure if I would get it again, kind of expensive. My wife's Jeep didn't have it and it held up pretty well for over 6 years, so I decided to take the risk on the CX-9 and not get it. Hope I don't regret it!

congrats on the new ride!

Yeah, I'm already regretting it, that's why I asked. I had a truck cross over the yellow line and I was two cars back and still got peppered with rocks and there are several chips that would have been protected. But the price is still kind of steep....

I'm getting mine done on Thursday. Did you get the front fenders done too? I'm on the fence on those. Normally I wouldn't do them, but they bend up and flatten so much towards the hood that I'm concerned they will be more inclined to get chips. I am definitely getting the front bumper and front of each side view mirror done, and I'm still trying to decide how far up the hood I should go where the "line" won't look too strange.

I have an estimate for $550 for front bumper, hood 18-24" up, fenders, side view mirrors. My wife's family lives on a farm and we'll be on a few unpaved roads frequently - seems like it's worth the investment. Especially considering the blue color will show scratches and chips like crazy.

The package includes front bumper, hood (24"), head & fog lights, fenders, and side mirrors. I paid extra to cover more hood so the cut-off line is straight and beyond the rear ends of head lights. It's worth it. Good luck on your installation.

Welcome and hope you enjoy your new CX9. They're fun and practical rigs to drive! Our family just loves ours!

I still think the clear bra is too expensive IMO. I opted to go with the removeable bra and only use it for road trips instead of day to day use. I already have a host of small chips, but WTF.....that's what touch-up paint is for anyway right? (yes)

To each is own. If you don't mind spending the clams to get one then go for it!!
