1st off, my fiance' and I just bought a Winning Blue 3 S 4-door' great bang for buck! I never even knew of the new body style, we were hooked. Nice quiet drive and I love the modern interior/style.

It has been wet and tons of snow here, not sure if just dirty or what, but when you stop and go to take off the brakes make a squeek the first 5-10ft or so.

Also we got the Airbag light issue.

Can't wait to drag and autocross it' handles very tight, now we can both race on weekends ( Bonding time ) :)

Both are known issues (if it's just squaking for the first couple times you brake after a cold night or something then it's normal). The N. American-spec Mazda3 issues have been (in order of prevalency):

- airbag light (dealer will order new sensor parts)
- CEL light. Code is thermostat open, yet the thermostat works fine (PCM requires a flash, version 29.2)
- extreme pitting on brake rotors (some dealers replacing rotors, others saying it's normal, depends on how bad it is)

info'

Thanks I will pass that on to her' just hope the bugs stop there' nothing real major atleast, and w/ a new car , normal to have some issues.

Yup. I've had the airbag light problem and I still have the brake problem. The dealer doesn't want to replace the brakes. I'll keep pushing for it.

wongpres, sorry I forgot to get those pics. It's too cold ;)

Are you getting the squeek after you stop and go?

I've also noticed the squeeky break issue first thing in the morning after a cold night for the first few breaks of the and if the breaks are really wet.

During the recent dump of snow in Toronto I was driving home from work through acumulated snow and my abs and break lights came on. Managed to get the car into the parking garage and let it sit over night. The next day the abs light was on for a bit but after i started moving it went off. I figure the snow just clumped on the breaks intefering with the abs components. Any one else have this happen yet? Is it typical of all cars?
