brake pads

I am not stating a new thread about which pads. It appears the Hawk pads are chosen by most of you. My question is do the Hawk pads produce any brake dust? Thank you

Yes. My HPS pads produce more brownish brake dust then stock. Maybe twice as much brake dust...

Just enough to help make you wash the car at least once every couple of weeks. If you love your car & keep it clean weekly it'll never be an issue. The performance & longevity more than make up for that micro inconvenience. Mine are going on 65k miles & still have 1/4 left with c/s rotors.

Right, I don't mean to say the brake dust is impossible to remove. It comes off quite easily with wheel cleaner and a sponge. The OP just asked if they produce any, and well, they do produce a lot of dust, especially when compared to stock pads.

I have Posi-quiet pads. I think I got them from Protege garage but can't remember.
I don't notice much brake dust at all. They brake well and are not noisy.

I did notice hawk pads dusted a lot on my miata.

The stock pads are pretty nice in terms of brake dust, hardly make any at all. I think most higher performance pads will make a lot more dust.

When I was shopping for wheels, I considered getting gun metal colored wheels. Instead, I went with silver wheels. Thanks to my EBC greenstuff pads, I get a taste of what gun metal wheels would like after about a week of driving. Mine dust like crazy.

HAHAHA yep. I've got the greenstuffs too. I LOVE them (great brake bad), however they do dust. It also takes about a week for me to go from 'gold' / bronze to 'mud' colored lol
