Brake pad not making contact with rotor correctly

I put on my new front dimpled and slotted rotors on my msp about two week ago. The left roror is making contact with the whole left pads but the right one seems to only be making contact in the middle of the rotor. I can see where the pad is not making contact. Could it be my hub centering ring? I smashed it when I was putting back on the rims. I put it back on the right way but it is still off very little. I have driven it for abut 70 miles since I found it was not in correctly. I have driven about 210 miles total. Any input is welcome. Both pads and rotors are new.

Thanks

Take it to a shop, brakes should not be messed with unless you have done them before with a person who actually knows what they are doing..

it could actually be a number of things. Your caliper might be bad. Or who ever did the brake job might have twisted the break hose a little too much when setting it aside and kinked it, which in turn wont let the correct amount of brake fluid to the caliper. If i were you id do a quick check to see if maybe the brake hose itself is twisted, compare it to your left side see if it looks the same. Ive seen a lot of cases when people put the caliper on they twist the hose one time around then put the caliper on. But a common symptom of that is low brake pedal.

And in rare cases ive even seen defective brake pads that can cause the kind of problem you are talking about. Also check your rotors, are you feeling any pulsation? things like that. Hope that helped you out a little

the problem i had was the slots for the pads.. the little pins on each end of the pads was too big for the slots..it was so tight the pads couldn't return to initial position and would rub.

i took a dremel and buffed out the pins on the pads one by one to have a snug fit and all is well now
